There are a few spots, mostly on the corners, where the felt has worn away from normal wear and tear. There is slight discoloration on the top of the case in the upper right corner near the latch and the bottom side has two smaller areas on the right quadrant. It has travelled long and well on many a vacation. The handles and locking mechanisms are pleather and brass.
