This rare Large Vintage Flannel Toy Horse on a wooden cart is a must-have for any antique collector. Made in the late 1800's to early 1900's, this wood and metal wheel pull toy features a flannel covered horse with original halter and saddle (missing stirrups) and saddle blanket. It demonstrates the great craftsmanship of the time - Believe the eyes are glass, but the mane is a bit sparse, ears and tail are still intact. Wheels still roll quite smoothly. Still has original pull string. It measures approximately 12.75" H x 12.5"L x 3.5"W. The mottled light and dark grey pattern on the flannel has been made to look like he is a dapple grey warmblood and most of the markings are on his back, stomach, and hind quarters. Please see pictures for accurate condition. This toy shows how much it was LOVED by a child long ago and has quite a bit of wear that adds to its charm. It would be a great accessory for a child's horse themed room.
